Corner Pour Bar

A Historic Building in an Even More Historic Town

The Town

Glens Falls

In 1944, Look magazine went looking for the town that best captured American hometown life, and they found it here. Glens Falls became Hometown USA, and it still lives up to the name. The town goes back to 1788, when Colonel Johannes Glen gave his name to the falls on the Hudson. The river powered the lumber and paper mills that built this town, and the caves below the falls helped inspire The Last of the Mohicans.

The Building

41 South Street

South Street has been part of downtown Glens Falls since the 1800s, lined with brick buildings that have seen generations of shops, businesses, and bars come and go. Ours has stood at the corner of South and Elm since the late 1800s. It has been restored with care, keeping the original character and old-tavern feel that made this corner what it is.

A Legacy Worth Honoring

Sandy's Clam Bar

For decades, this corner was Sandy's Clam Bar. Under Richie Mozal, a true friend to the neighborhood, Sandy's became the common ground of Glens Falls: live bands, packed summer nights, and a crowd from every corner of town. Sandy's holds a special place in a lot of people's hearts, and we're proud to carry on the tradition in the same spot.

The Bar

Corner Pour

Now we're starting our own chapter. Corner Pour is owned and operated by locals from the area, and we're excited to be part of a new era on South Street. We want this to be the place where you grab a drink, catch some live music, and run into someone you know. Same old corner, a fresh new gathering place.
